TAKE A  SAFE RIDE HOME  FROM

TASTE OF THE NATION

(Vancouver, BC) Ð On Thursday, May 23rd, take a Safe Ride Home from the 12th Annual TASTE OF THE NATION, presented by American Express, and hosted by the recently renovated Hyatt Regency Vancouver, one of the cityÕs leading luxury hotels.

TASTE OF THE NATION has teamed up with BC Liquor Stores and ICBC to offer patrons a Safe Ride Home.  The program distributes free transit tickets to TASTE OF THE NATION patrons who take transit to and from the event.

ÒThe TASTE OF THE NATION event is hosted by the Hyatt Regency Vancouver and is easily accessible by transit, so it only makes sense to offer our patrons a safe ride home,Ó said Julia Watt, co-Chair.

This year celebrates the 12th anniversary of this gala food and beverage charity fund-raiser.  The evening includes fine food from the most talented chefs that Vancouver has to offer and flavourful wine from the finest wineries.  Original art pieces by local BC artists will be up for bid during the silent auction and patrons can indulge themselves with the Trees of Abundance.

All ticket proceeds from the Vancouver event are donated to local non-profit organizations that provide programs to fight hunger including A Loving Spoonful and The Vancouver Food Bank and Oxfam International.   Ticket costs are $69.95 for general admission and VIP tickets are $100.  Tickets are available through TicketMaster by calling 604-280-4444.
