FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
12TH
ANNUAL TASTE OF THE NATION
(Vancouver, BC, Canada) Nothing goes better with good food and fine wine than great entertainment and that is whats up for Share Our Strengths 12th Annual TASTE OF THE NATION, presented by American Express, when two great Vancouver musical acts, jazz vocalist Megan Fanning and Hip Pocket, hit the stage at this years event.
Born in Sydney, Australia, Megan Fannings warm jazz sounds have been
featured at the best venues around Vancouver, including Monk McQueens and
the Pan Pacific. Megan released her first CD in 2000 and is considering another
release for late this year.
Hip Pocket front man Adam Rohrlick is joined by some of the coolest musicians
Vancouver has to offer in the talents of Bill Sample, Shawn Soucy and Gord
Maxwell. Hip Pocket draws on many different genres of music from jump n
jive to the sultry sounds of Santana. The result is fine musical entertainment.
There are two things that make a great event; good food and good entertainment,
says Julia Watt, Co-Chair. Our volunteer committee works very hard to
create an exciting event. We want our guests to enjoy themselves because the
more people who attend, the more money we raise to help people who find themselves
in need of food programs.
Share Our Strengths 12th Annual TASTE OF THE NATION, presented by American
Express, will be hosted by the recently renovated Hyatt Regency Vancouver,
one of the city's leading luxury hotels, on Thursday, May 23, 2002 and features
the leading restaurants in the Vancouver area. Ticket costs are $69.95 for
